We have established the High Resolution Picture Transmission system (HRPT) at India Meteorological Department at  New Delhi  from Sea Space Corporation, USA for receiving NOAA transmission used by the scientists in their weather forecasting inputs.

The HRPT installation was completed successfully by joint Seaspace and Consimpex (factory trained engineers) in 1999 and the System is up and operational since then on 24 hour basis.

The HRPT system is an automatic  receiving station for NOAA polar orbiting satellites. The system with Terascan software has been developed by SeaSpace Corporation,USA and the project has been implemented in India by B.K. Consimpex. The day to day software & hardware service, up gradation, trouble shooting during the warranty and post warranty tenure is been handled by BK Consimpex Engineers who have  undergone training at SeaSpace facility in U.S.A

Recently, the Forest Survey of India (FSI), Dehradun have placed order for the HRPT System  from Seaspace corporation for automatic detection of Forest Fire through NOAA satellite passes. This Project would again be implemented by Consimpex engineers/programmers trained at SeaSpace USA.
